Border-Style Shrimp

Border-Style Shrimp
adapted from Cooking Light
1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 cups chopped white onion
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/4 cup fresh lime juice

1. Heat a large nonstick skillet with the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onion, saute 3 minutes.
2. Mix cumin, chili powder, shrimp andgarlic together, add to the skillet and saute 4 minutes. Remove from heat, and add butter, salt and hot sauce. Stir until butter melts. Stir in juice. Serve over brown rice.
